Warm invitation to the 6th Franconian Backyard Ultra, taking place on September 5, 2025, in Lauf an der Pegnitz. The field of participants will be strong, as athletes of varying performance levels and training backgrounds will tackle the diverse course featuring trail sections and elevation gain together. In this unique competition, participants do not know how much distance they will have to cover in total, and faster runners cannot drop slower ones, as a new start occurs after each lap.
Highlights
- "The field of participants was incredibly strong this time," Juliane Buchholz expressed with delight.
- 57 runners reached the ultradistance, 28 were still in the race at 100 km, and seven surpassed the magical mark of more than 24 hours on the course.
- At the same time, the Family Backyard event takes place, where teams run on a shorter course every half hour.
